I've got an 85 FLHTC that has been turned into sort of a RK. I've been kicking around the idea of taking off the 1980"s honda accord dashboard, and putting the FLH nacelle on it, or put on and old batwing back on it...Well in my craigslist searches I found an 03 outer only batwing in pretty good shape for $35. How hard will it be to make that sucker fit? Help me oh wise ones
You will have to manufacture brackets to make it work. I bought a Mutazu batwing for my wife's sportster and had to manufacture brackets. It wasn't hard to do. I keep a stash of scrap steel, etc.. I would be concerned that the headlight hole may not work with your current config..
I have a bolt on fairing with brackets should be direct fit its a factory hd piece came with my 91 flhs bolts on like a windshield would on a rk. Pm me for more info and a contact # if you'd like I can send pics or even if you want to have pics of the brackets for fabbing some up I'd be happy to help with dimensions.

Those kits cost a fortune when they were new! I bought my 1990 FLHS new and didn't like the oval windshield, but wasn't prepared to blow out on that kit. hubcap, grab this while you can! It is a shovel glass-fibre batwing with the correct brackets to install it on your bike. In my photo below I have an early '80s batwing with home-made brackets.

Yeah I've heard those were quite the bit of dough back when. I got it hanging on the wall in the shop just collecting dust along with all of what made the flhs a flhs. Did a flhtc conversion over the winter on mine now I got all sorts of spare parts. Or I guess I could switch it back every now and then for variety
I hate roadkings. So my vote is to put a fairing on it. They look so naked and incomplete as a roadking. The touring bike looks like the full package. I have been wanting a evo tourer by the way
