Looking forward to putting this together. Ordered the single rate springs, emulators and bushings to do a complete swap out of the front suspension. It won't get here until the 28th so maybe I can get a jump on the disassembly with the weather coming in for the next few days.
For a better ride (atleast my thinking) use a 10 wt or less fluid. I have 15 in mine and it's a bit to stiff. Even with the dampers drilled out. I gotta admit the handling is great in the curves but I'll go a little softer on the next change.

Thanks for that info I forget what they recommended, I had them ship me a quart, I think it was 10wt. I'll find out and go from there. From what I've been reading/ researching this set up sounded like the best bang for the bucks as far as an upgrade goes. Looking forward to seeing how it changes the handling of this old Road King.
I'm thinking about tearing it down Friday and taking a few things to a powder coater since it will be off the bike.
Subscribed. Take some pics along the way and post em up please! I am looking to do this very thing in the future. Are you planning a full rebuild with seals too? Good Luck!
I'll take some pics along the way as I can. Yes I ordered all new seals as I figure the originals are almost 20 years old. I ordered everything I will hopefully need so I won't be looking for anything except new plugs to seal the old air system off.

+1 on this. My 97 front end is squishy like a sponge even with it all aired up. I'll be doing this soon.
UPS dropped the package on time and in good shape today. It was waiting for me when I got home. All parts look good except I am wondering about the PVC pipe they sent for spacers. I think I may source a length of aluminum tubing for that.
Now for the fun, finding time and getting this done. I want to get the nacelle and other parts powder coated while they are off so we will see how long this takes.

My Progressives came with PVC too.
I'd guess the PVC will hold up or else they wouldn't have sent it.
