I hate electrical! My tight turn signal light started to stay on which is weird because I don't have any turn signals. Popped the dash off and noticed my bulb socket came out of the dash panel. For the life of me I can't figure out how to make it go back into the dash panel. I have never had to do this before haha. I outsource my electrical. Any tips gents?
Edit: oh, and Texas, put the cables on. Thanks again
From your pics i would say that the bulb will hold the socket in place. Take a look at the other ones and you will see that the bulbs are larger in the panel. I say remove the blown bulb, replace the bulb by holding the socket until you get the new bulb in.
Hope this helps
Like many 'electrical' things, that problem is entirely mechanical, so relax man! The bulb holder has become dislodged and needs to be reseated. The chaps above will have this sorted for ya in a jiffy.....
Never seen that one happen (yet). I'm not sure how those things fit together, I know there's a spring in the bottom, under the "hot" contact (the one on the end of the bulb). That spring might be broken.
On closer examination of your pictures, the socket for the right turn signal looks different from the other lamp sockets. I can see some phenolic washers under the dash base at that location that I don't see under the oil pressure lamp, for example. Is that a custom dash base installation? It doesn't look like mine.

If you don't need the indicator and the light stays on, just pull the bulb and it will be off for good. Then you can order a new socket and replace it when you want to.
I have same dash, I believe the socket is broken due to rust under it,they install from above, not underneath. So when the bulb is pushed in and turned, it does not fall through as yours did. Replace the socket... GW

This, just might be a little rust. Had that happen before. Good luck!
