In an effort for full disclosure and to attempt to keep other people from making dumb mistakes........I realized that when I was ordering parts, and assembling the leg that I used standard softail damper tubes. Well, I had to order fatboy style as they are shorter which will lead to me taking apart what I have assembled. Oh well. Luckilly I don't have fluid in the front end or springs yet as I am still waiting on their arrival (and now the damper tubes too)

Got most of the parts. Spring come today so I started final assembly

I have two different size cowbells. Stock and plus two defending on how the forks line up. I may need to get one inch over. I didn't use the fatboy damper springs as I didn't realize they were different compared to the fxst damper springs but apparently they are. I am wondering if that makes a height difference. Either way I don't feel like waiting on them and breaking the fork tubes down right now so I can compensate with the Linder cowbells if need be

I need to get shorter extended cowbells but other than that it is done. I think j&p sent me the wrong fork springs though. They were almost two inches past the top of the fork tubes and even when I got it closed the forks have crazy preload and are very very stiff
