Heritage charging system question
Hi all! Went for a spin on my 91 heritage yesterday and stopped for gas. Starter would not engage when trying to start back up. Just spun and clicked. Up on jump starting it fired up and I head home. Maybe 6 miles. Got almost home and it starts spitting and spuddering and then dies out. Of course battery is dead. Would a bad battery cause this in an evo? Almost seems like it's running off the battery. I'm gonna tear in to it next weekend and look for loose connections first. As a side note I did wash it and blow it dry with my leaf blower and then it sat over night after that in the garage. It did however start fine the next day when I rode to the gas station where it died. Perhaps something got wet?
