Noise present when clutch is in equals a inner primary bearing going bad. It will sound fine when the clutch isn't pulled in but like a bunch of marbles when it is

Does it sound like something that I could cause damage if it's ridden....or could I limp it back to the indy....about 30 miles??
At the point the only thing that is winding down on decel is the transmission main shaft bearing. The engine would be idling as well as the clutch basket inner primary bearing.

Just worked on an old Sporty that had an odd noise when you let off the throttle that first sounded like brakes. Has 120K on the clock. It was the drive belt. Second one. First went at 40K.
There were at least 6 cog teeth gone on it.
