On my superglde, the ignition switch is loose in the barrel. When I turn the bike on all the way the n and oil lite doesnt come on untill I move it around. What I was wondering can I tighten uo the barrel or do I ned a new one . Also If I buy a new one and buy a oem can I keep the same key cause that will use the same for the lock. Thanks

 

Definitely need a new ignition switch.... Seems 98 was a crappy year for them... You can take it to a lock smith and he can key the new one to your old key..

 

Had a similar problem with my '87. Replaced switch.
