When I think about it I should just stay the course regardless of timeframe (to an extent). I'll bug the builder after the New Year, will probably have parts sometime in January is my guess. I'll be asking Darkhorse their lead time though, just to make sure that doesn't get milked out too much. I was planning on having a running bike by my birthday in March, but we'll see. Build integrity is more important than having the bike on the road sooner.
30 degree angled squish band machined into heads. 1.98"/1.60" valves, 7mm stems with .600" lift beehive springs
Case bore with new center bolt:
Axtell cast iron cylinders, 3 13/16" bore (not sleeves, ALL cast iron)
Angled dome pistons with combustion chamber relief dish machined into dome. This brings CC down to pump gas levels without having to make the combustion chamber in the head so large:
Bad news, now the pistons and crank go to Darkhorse Crankworks in Wisconsin for a crank balance and rebuild. This crank has I'm guessing 100K miles so it's about time.
