Got it all buttoned up for a maiden voyage tomorrow. The cables on the tank are for the wideband o2 sensor:
I cranked her over too just to make sure she'd fire. Them new jets are already making a difference. Empty carb to purring in about 4 revolutions of the motor. I goosed it a couple times then shutdown.
I'll probably have the wife follow me around the neighborhood, just in case something shitty happens.
So, no **** here but yesterday I got the bike all buttoned up and rolled it down the drive way to go for the initial spin and the second I lift the bike off the kickstand a cop noses into the cul-de-sac, then slowly backs out and parks on the street exactly opposite my driveway. I took this as a sign. Since I haven't insured it yet, and the engine serial number isn't on the registration (and it's absolutely loud as hell), I killed it and pushed it back in the garage.
The last thing I want is the CHP throwing my bike in impound on her maiden voyage because I didn't have proper paperwork or insurance at the time.
