Does anyone know where I can buy a 1.5-2" tank lift kit for my 98 Road king? .... I know im crazy for wanting to lift the tank but I like the look and having a litte more space over that beautiful evo!
DK Custom , but if you dont have a one piece tank or your petcock is in the center of the left rank youll lose the available fuel because the gas will fall below the cross over and pickup of the petcock because of the angle.
You'll also have to re-figure out how your fuel gauge is reading. It'll be way off. I put a tank lift on my '09 FXD and it made the gauge reading almost a quarter of a tank off.
If you can, try to also get the lift for the rear of the tank also. DK has this and the front lift, but not for many EVO's if I remember right.
Thanks, looks like those brackets would do the job. Its a one piece tank. I never have payed much attention to the fuel gauge, i usually go by miles so thats fine, and luckily, the petcock is in the rear so shouldnt be too much of a problem

You will still have a problem of the left and right sides not equalizing and this will have diminished range.
Look at the location of your crossover to see what I mean.

OP says it's a one piece tank with the petcock in the rear. All good.
The one other issue I found was that it threw off the balance in turns.
Plus it didn't come with the longer bolts and bolt sleeves for the dash console.
These things are why I removed mine. They no longer offer a kit for the early split tank.

Many one piece tanks have a Crossover...Witness the FXR as a for instance.. the tunnel demands it... unless you go rediculously high in the front...
I maxed the lift on my Sim.
and even found spacers to add to what DK sent to keep the fill as close to stick as possible.
The look is great.
Love how I can see and keep the rockers clean.
and on my twinky, don’t really notice that much of a change in ride.
For what it costs, its worth a try. And yes, you will need a longer cross over tube. So draining the tank is necessary.
And if you raise the back further than what their spacer provides, you will notice the tank will wiggle a bit. Not enough to where it is dangerous. But it will wiggle.
