EVO Swingarm
Around 2007 IIRC there was a further upgrade of that design, which I chanced upon when shopping for mine. I don't recall why it is said to be better! Mine was off a trike conversion and although I missed the wheel, I got the rest, caliper, axles etc.
I discovered my broken swing arm at the office as I was about to go home. '00 FLTRSEI Fortunately we had a welding shop on the property and we lifted the bike with an overhead crane strapped to the saddlebag guards, aligned the swing arm and welded plates top and bottom over the crack. I rode home that night. It's held for over 50,000 miles now. I believe that it will last!

When my swingarm broke.....I didn’t even consider repairing it. With so many used and takeoffs....why not. That’s was the BEST thing I did to the bike.
But....each to their own.....repairing works as well

I installed one of those stabilizer jimmies, to overcome the squirrelly feeling in the corners... If I had it to do over I think I’d go with an updated swingarm. After reading through this thread, I might invest in one of the swingarm reinforcement pieces linked by IM above.
No but I did have an emergency drive belt in the saddlebag. I discovered the broken swing arm because as I pulled out of the parking space the drive belt snapped due to fact I assume that the crack increased the length / tension on a belt that at the time had 118,000 miles on it. It was long time getting home but indeed we made it!
