Bob,it’s a Hitachi and the bolts go thru the housing .Theyre m5 screws and was gonna use rod and a mount plate for the bracket.The Dr. didn’t use the bracket ,may just go that route.Thanks

II would definitely try to fabricate a rear bracket for that.. I broke one of the ears off of my starter housing because the rear of the starter didn't have support..

I also mounted an AB's starter last year on my FLHTC. Made up new heavier cables at the same time. Left off the rear bracket as suggested and no issues.
