Default Bagger duals from 09-13 to 87

Has anyone here used newer 09-13 duals with a underneath crossover pipe? I have an 87 flhs and i'm not sure if its going to interfer the oil filter. Looking at buying a set off the forum so I cant just go and try it out.

I don't know of any of us who have tried it, although a few twincam owners with 2008 or earlier bikes have. A number of observations come to mind. Those cross-under pipes are designed to fit a wider framed bike than ours, which leaves a query hanging over where the outlets for the mufflers will lie, relative to our older bikes. The cross-under is dependent on support from a mounting off the oil sump under the trans, which our early Evo bikes don't have. I suspect you will indeed have to go and just do it - or find it can't be done! Someone has to be first....

I've been meaning to try the 09^ exhaust on an EVO, just haven't found one at a good enough price. Also the catalytic in in the end of the head pipe 2-1, it will BAKE your right leg, I recommend removing it.

Default Duals

I tried to fit a later 09+ set of duals that cross under the bike to my 2000 roading and they would not fit. The pipe that went under the bike hit the trans. It may have worked if I dented the pipe with a hammer but I didn't want to chance ruining the exhaust. I would be surprised if the system would work on an early evo.

Well I bought some. I recieved the slip ons last monday and finally recieved the head pipes today. Only a few small issues to resolve. The brake pedal arm hits the heat shield, that's an easy fix. The only hard part is going to be fabbing a mount for the middle of the pipes. Theres going to be one bolt in the bottom because the bolt hits the frame. The crossover pipe gives enough room to get the oil filter out. The belt dent is about a belt width off. But there is clearance for the belt and once there is a rider on it should give me more clearence. I might try to flatten it where the belt goes just to make sure but that's still up in the air. My bike is an 87 flhs converted to a flht

'90 FLHS here. Great to see a fellow owner pushing forward the boundaries of the possible, well done! Look forward to the end results.

For what I got them for I couldn't resist it. I figured if they didnt working should be able to get most of my money back if not all. So I was an easy choice since all the head pipes I was finding where about 100 less shipped. Plus it was fun lol
