I looked at the FXR's.....REAL PRICEY and I'm lookin for another project. I'm 6'1" and 225...I think me ridin a sporty would look like a fat man in a little coat.....LOL! Always like the FXDWG and the FXSTC for a hopper and local stuff. I WILL build another 750 SOHC chopper after I move, so that will be my hardtail.

I swore off Imports early on... so No experience with the Chopper that I think I might Like!!! SOHC 4 cyl UJM
Good luck... looks like fun!!! At my point in Life... no HardTails... In My defense... our roads are probably the worst in the Nation also!!!!!

and an fxrt new in 91
most forgiving, best handling HD big twin that have experienced

750 sohc is in the top 10 of great motorcycle engines

please try to build as close to stock as possible
prices on vintage Hondas have been leading the market for 5 years
Simple fixes on a barn fresh 750A ( Hondamatic, less desirable) doubled my money in 30 days at Wauseon antique meet)
please dont cut one up
