Default Electric.... Ignition Switch Housing.

Hello everyone, I've gotta change out the Ignition Switch Housing on my '93 Tour Glide. The OEM part N° is 71526-93B. While looking for one I found a 71640-99 at a much lower price. Has anyone put one of these on their older bikes? The only difference I see looking at the pics are the fact that the older one does not have a quick disconnect. The newer one can be found at $130.00 the older one coming in at $180.00.

By now you haven't got got a definitive answer so the best bet would be to spend the money for the correct part.

I'm going to go the other route… buy it and hope it works. Then at least we will all know if it can be done. I will follow up on this post. I may have a '99 Ignition Switch Housing to sell to someone…

Good / Bad thing happened.... I found a person selling the '93 model Switch Housing for $110 plus shipping in Germany, total $130. Good for me but we won't know if the '99 switch will work.
I guess this post can be closed even though not helpful to anyone....

When it comes to electrical on the Evo's you can pretty much switch around anything you want and make any of it work you just got to know what you're doing electrically.. On my 77 fxe Shovelhead, I put a Screaming Eagle electronic ignition module and Hall affect pickup in with all Deutsch connectors.. Worked great just got to know what you're doing.. A FSM helps as well..
