Default Badlands T/S module

Anyone put one of these on and either know, or remember the approximate dimensions of the actual module box?

Photos can be deceiving an they are all gone to Daytona till next week - no email or phone support.

Thanks

I used this one because it gives many different options for self cancel time, • Perfect for custom builds or retrofitting models without self-canceling turn signals• Features three turn signal timing modes: a one-second press of the turn signal button causes seven seconds of turn signal flash before self-cancel, a two-second press causes 20 seconds of flash before self-cancel and a four-second press causes 75 seconds of flash before self-cancel

• All flash modes can be cancelled with a second push of the turn signal button

• Flash time is consistent whether using incandescent or LED lighting

• Simultaneous depression of right and left turn signal buttons for one second begins hazard mode; flash continues until manually cancelled

• Solid-state electrical components with weather-proof, soft cell technology to prevent wire damage

• Runs from 12V power source at 6A per channel

• Measures 2-1/4″ L x 1-5/8″ W x 5/8″ H

• Mounts easily with included double-sided tape

• Designed for use with individual momentary-type turn signal switches mounted on left and right bars; will not work on models with left and right turn signal switch built into one unit that requires push to cancel

I've not totally decided to install one yet and would be OK with the '86 type t/s switches (mine's '87) but the earlier switches are hard to come by. I can install a module without cutting any wires and much easier than changing switches.

I do like the added features and it looks like a smaller box on the SDC. Thank you Mike!

I believe I have something just like this on my bike. I'd can't check 'til later tonight.

Ok, I found the measurements for each box and either will mount where I'd need to.

Next issue is the wire length. Looks like the SDC has really short leads (good for headlight bucket install) and the Badlands has much longer wires, which I would need to put it where it needs to be, and not have to splice 2 or 4 of the factory wires, hopefully.

Yes your correct t150vej, the wires on the SDC are kind of short, and I do have mine in the headlight bucket

I've had the SDC unit for close to 10 years and it has worked flawlessly. Very happy with it and would use it again.

Do you happen to remember the approx. length of the leads out of the B/L module?

First thought was B/L so I could zip tie it to the upper right fork like factory. I do like the smaller size and features of the SDC though. May be able to tape/glue it to the inside front of the dash panel support about where #14 is shown. (Tour Glide) and mine has nothing there but its tight. I'll have to set the instrument panel off to be sure there's room.

Getting the feeling I won't get away without at least some butt connectors, but certain I can wire into the handlebar connectors without cutting the factory harness. Throttling, clutching and keeping a button pushed, plus old age is starting to bother my thumbs sometimes... just thinking out loud and rambling on.

Thanks for the info, ideas and opinions - much appreciated

I don't exactly remember, I want to say the leads were about 10'"
