[QUOTE=splittie65;20626043]I turned the key around to 3.30 and then carefully tried to take the cam cover off.
At last, something going my way! It came off quite easily.
Below are some photos.......it looks like the plastic cog has some teeth stripped.
I am assuming this is my problem and I just replace it and put it all back together?

The breather gear's your problem. Line up the dots on the other two gears and replace the breather gear.
I'll bet where it's stopped is with the screen is facing away from the pump, restricting or blocking oil flow.
Why it broke is another question, could just be age or something bound it up. (that's why it's plastic, it's designed to break if it gets bound up)
Breather looks good, how deep are the groves on the bore.. hard to tell from a pic.. Might be able to just replace.. I personal like the S&S metal breather..
Ok the feed side of the pump is intact,. Turn the motor over by hand to confirm the pump shaft rotates.. Then pull the entire pump and check the key for the scavenger side..
And as Dan said at some point we will need to confirm cam bearing..
