Dan, nope - both the front and the rear illuminate BUT do not flash. That (in hindsight) probably indicates the flasher unit for the right side, unless there is one per indicator?

Does the front running light in the signal unit work (turn signal button not pressed)?

Okay - the front is a YES
The rear is a NO

Additionally, when the turn sig is pressed, the front signal brightens significantly but does not flash. The rear right hand signal does not illuminate at all.

Pull the rear bulb, test for voltage by touching the positive voltmeter probe to the contact in the socket, touch the negative voltmeter probe to the frame or negative post on the battery (from this test we will know whether the issue is on the ground side or the positive side of the circuit).

Dan, thanks mate - have to find my voltmeter but will let you know what happens.

When I do this, what should I be looking for?

If it is just a bad ground...

You should see system voltage, going on and off like the turn signal should.

If the issue is on the positive side, you will see no voltage.

Hope it's not the turn signal module.
Number 16 in the diagram.
I'm going to remove mine the next time I have the tanks off.
That module ain't cheap.
