Ck the connectors
Can't find it but there was a thread concerning a 38 amp vs a 45 amp charging system.
If I remember correctly other than the way the 2 make their connection the difference between the 2 charging systems was the rotor.
They did something to the Rotor that made for a 45 amp system out of a 38 amp system using like stators
Something to do with the magnets Bigger ones I think.
