91 FLHTC Charging prob
Hello I have a 91 electra glide and it doesn't charge correctly. It's primarily at 10V and goes to 12V when I accelerate however the problem is the battery dies when I park and it sits a week so lm thinking its not fully charging to 14V and isn't keeping the battery fully charged? Battery 1yr old R&R the regulator & stator and the guage? Any suggestions will be appreciated...

Don`t assume the battery is good just because it is only a year old, follow the troubleshooting steps and you will find the problem.
Charge the battery and take it to an auto parts store, they will load test the battery for free.
While battery is removed, clean the terminals on both battery cables (both ends), and the contact surfaces they connect to.
Once you know the battery is in good working condition:
Using your digital multimeter, read the voltage across the battery posts with engine running, you should see about 14.5 volts.
Charge the battery and take it to an auto parts store, they will load test the battery for free.
While battery is removed, clean the terminals on both battery cables (both ends), and the contact surfaces they connect to.
Once you know the battery is in good working condition:

Get the battery ck'd out as Dan mentioned
After you know you have a good battery.
Then run through steps in the sticky
Write done the reading you get with each step ad get back on here to let us know if your not sure
