someone mentioned softails - all 1984 and 1985 softails were the base model FXST, with 4 speeds and kick/electric start, chain final drive. The softail didn't get the 5 speed until 1986, along with belt rear drive. HD never made any 5 speed with a kicker. 1986 saw the expansion of the softail lineup to include the Softail Custom and Softail Heritage.
Evos with 4 speeds were also in the 1985 FXWG, FXSB, and FXEF. All had kickers except the FXEF. The last of the evos with 4 speeds was the 1986 FXWG, which was also the last model HD ever made with a kicker.
I currently have 3 1985s. 2 FXWGs (one since new), and a FXSB Low Rider.
Custom seat, but a lepera bare bones fits also. Cut off the old tank mounts and welded new ones onto a super glide tank so I could mount it a little lower on the backbone.
