Little update.. The Stealth D did not work out.. The wobble was way too severe.. I sent it back and hopefully I'll get a refund.. Yesterday I mounted up a Michelin Commander II and today I got to put some miles on it.. Night and day difference and handles very well in the twisties, very solid feel.. Maybe this week or next weekend I'll be able to open it up and do a test hit.. Never went over 70 today but was very smooth.. Progress...
You're gonna really like those Commander II's. I first tried them on my '09 FXD in 2011, and have been using them since. I know you're trying tires for your hopped up bike, but if for just a general rider, you'll be tickled pink with the longevity *and* the wet and turn traction. I even have them now on my Heritage...first 'touring/touring-like' bike I've ever owned or even ridden, they let me get *almost* as frisky dodging potholes, bumps, road hazards, etc as a Dyna, heh.
I always like them and run them on the front of both bikes.. I just figured it's time to run a matching set.. They do handle well.. it's just the price..
Have any of you noticed a very thin seam just off center on the rear C II's? It seems to go the depth of the tread. When I bought my Dyna last year it had a set of 6 yr old C II's and the rear had a seam, I thought it was a defect but the new one I just put on has the exact same seam in the same place.

It's a little hard to see in the picture but the new tire has the same little slit in the same spot. The new set of tires only have 160 km on them right now, balance beads installed and they feel great, but I did cut my riding short last fall because I thought the old tire was defective. Are your tires showing the same thing?
If you are talking about the line in the center, it's called a antenna thread. 100% normal and OK.

Thanks, some great info there. You learn something every day I have changed a lot of tires before and never noticed this till now. I feel better about running them now, pisses me off that I cashed in about a month of riding at the end of last year though. LOL
