nothing much from this weekend. a few bearings and a few bolts was all the time and energy I had.
Spherical bearings pressed in Swing arm mounted to transmission new rear shocks mounted and ready to bolt to the swingarm. Next is to get clutch cable assembled inside the cover. The gloss black against the billet aluminum is a sharp look
While you have the tranny all apart you sould get some of that high temp black wrinkle coat paint or match it to the side cover.... It'll set it up nice.. trans side cover looks great..👍

Really ambitious thread. I hope you see this all the way through.
Definitely ambitious, first motorcycle and I decided to break it all the way down to the frame. But that's the fun of it; a super ambitious project that's teaching me a **** ton of cool stuff, and I'll have a one-of-a-kind bike after it all.
Plus, I have a friendly wager with my father-in-law (the one I got the bike from), he was joking with me that the bike will never run again, so that alone is reason to see it through haha.

I originally hadn't planned on doing that until I saw everything else and was thinking I probably should take the time to coat the trans case too. it looks like **** now compared to everything lol

The Harley Texture Black (not wrinkle black) spay paint is a good match to the original finish on the cases, if that's what your looking for, and it holds up well, I painted my primary and trans case about 10 years ago and it still looks good.
Is that an N1 shift drum you put in.. I've had one in my six-speed for I don't know how long now in my Evo and I love it There's definitely never an issue finding neutral and you don't get that mis second gear because of neutral..
Its not the n1. I had gone back and forth on that, and decided to just keep the original shift pattern. Its an easy and relatively cheap swap though if I decide down the road to change it up.
