Hi,
I understand the length of the spring,
what about spring strength?
Is it just to keep the cable in place and not add any tension?
The size of the spring would add tension possibly

Redline MTL Gear Lube.

I can tell you for sure this is Redline MTL (it`s my Softail transmission case ).

I pay attention to your posts!
I use MTL in the primary case… it’s never green lol

It has been a long time since I used MTL, my memory could be faulty...

***** and ramp assembly is the biggest PITA for evo clutches in my opinion. The number of times I have accidentaly squeezed the clutch lever to check cable adjustment when slackening it off and dislodged the ***** out of the ramp then need to go into it to fix...

I've had the cover off at least half a dozen times and it always went back together fine. Until this time, which I forgot that I had grabbed the clutch lever accidentally. Had me stumped enough to create this thread. 😆😅

PN 33201-79 is commonly used (only available from aftermarket, but you could probably source a suitable spring at a hardware store).

I like that! Next time I'm in there, that spring is going in! (If I remember).

I added the spring to my 1995 FXDS when I changed the cable, I used a shovelhead shifter pawl spring. You cannot feel any additional force on the lever, it's nice to know it helps keep load off the throwout bearing when clutch is engaged.
