If I understood what you were saying/asking? ... it does use the same 3/8" on the "cheap stock 4 piston caliper" also

If ever they start to feel rough during tire swap, I will replace them. In my case, this may never happen because I have a large stable - annual mileage is spread across 10 plated bikes and 2 dirtbikes. I will probably give up the ghost before the sealed Timkens do.

That aside, I don't know what's blowing your mind here, as sealed bearings have been the norm in the industry for a long time.

That isn't a sealed bearing, it's a shielded bearing, designed to catch whatever fluid gets near it and keep it near the bearing surface. Sealed bearings have rubber seals and no way for fluids to get into or out of the bearing....good luck using shielded bearings if it ever rains, or you ever wash the bike....

OK so I obviously did not research enough I need 11.8 inch rotors are there any HD rotors that will fit my 1989 FLHTC?
The swept area on the pads does not match up to my existing rotors.
The brakes have an -08 part number
Sorry for wasting anyone's time if this is already documented up thread.
If not I have a never used set of HD calipers for sale at a good price.
I should just stay with my GMA 4 pot calipers they stop as good as my stock brakes with ferodo pads.
TIA.Chris
+ tapered roller bearings for FWIW close to 100K miles on the second set.

Go aftermarket, my Fakebob had "Braking" rotors (fully floating) and my Shovel has FLT Rotors but I haven't measured them.

I know it won’t match the dual brembos I had on my roadking but i’d hate to make the effort and find the difference barley noticeable.
Imo yes definitely.
I did front and rear.
