Well I'll give it a shot. Yes you can go another 1/2 turn without any problems on a stock motor. Did you give them enough time to fully pump up?
Yes the Lifter Blocks can wear. How many miles on the bike?
Lastly, what oil you running?

Oil should be okay. You could pull the blocks and mic them to be sure.
I did not see anyone suggest to check your lifter filter screen. Often forgot about and good practice is for it to be checked every other service I believe.
the stock evo cam green DOT on cam is all I know think it was the V grind 84 cam lifters got replaced twice now bike has 61,000
Before you tear into or buy anything find some straight 50wt and do an oil change, pay attention to any differences in sounds or feel of the bike in general. This can tell you a number of things about the engine's condition overall. That kind of mileage the whole valve train is worn from the lifters & blocks to the rocker arm bushings. Quiets down some with the heavy oil it confirms the wear is real.
