Ok update went an extra half turn on pushrods seemed to help some now its more prominent on the primary side right in the compensator area goes away when idling up but back when I let off more like marbles sound I'm guessing its the compensator has some miles on it ill check it out the sound seems to be traveling through sometimes its hard to track down I know but its for sure coming from the primary area I adjusted the chain some weeks ago

Been there done that...also, it's amazing how the tapping sound from the lifters sounded like it was on the left side. I would of swore it was something on the left side of the engine if I did not know what it really was. Mine took about 6 long heart pounding miles to quiet down.

The Primary acts like a bell. It's a big echo chamber.

That's cuz the bad lifter makes the noise by dropping the valve hard on the valve seat.

If it were me Id check the following :

Check you adjusted each pushrod correctly :
- did I allow each lifter adequate time to pump back up before installing the new rods?
- did I install each one when the corresponding lifter is at its lowest point?
- did I make sure the pushrod is properly seated in both the lifter and the rocker box?
- did I get the pushrod to the correct adjustment before making the 3 turns out? (the pushrod should have no up-down movement but should be able to turn easily in your fingers, then do your 3 turns out)
- did I wait for the lifters to pump back up again after setting all the rods?
- did I install the pushrod covers and keepers correctly?

If all the above is fine, you can turn it out 1/2 turn and see if it helps. You might find with some adjustable pushrods, they can be quite thick and the very front rod can have a tendancy to hit against the inside of the pushrod cover. I had to chop mine down slightly to get rid of the noise of the rod slapping against the inside of the cover.

Adjustable pushrods can be one of those relatively simple jobs whereby if you rush anything you can end up with adjustments out of spec, oil leaks, poor running etc.
