Question just curious I have a 1984 FLTC 1340 EVO lost my stock cam a few years ago and replaced it I was told to dump my lifters around 20-30 thou miles this is the reason why I went with quickie out adj pushrods makes it simple the rods are 24 thread per inch by bender cycles had them for a few years now with great results they recommend 3 full turns I just put new lifters in now the question I have is I have some noticeable ticking after bike warms only at idle maybe its just me I know EVO'S sound like angry sewing machines but I just wanted to know can the pushrods be turned an extra half or full turn? like 3 1/2 to see if my ticking goes away? its not the rockers for sure coming from cam housing have any of you tried this before? I have heard this and that just wanted to ask some of you who have more experience at this than I was also told the lifter blocks can go bad I guess that makes sense to much wear allowing lifters to not fully pump? putting the bike up on stand going to check the rods first at their lowest and highest points to see if I have some extra up and down lash
Well I'll give it a shot. Yes you can go another 1/2 turn without any problems on a stock motor. Did you give them enough time to fully pump up?
