The mechanic I have been speaking with said the mark broke the metal surface and I will have to replace it. I had already ordered an Andrews EV27 cam as I suspected that mark did not bode well for the cam.
With the Andrew ev27 cam, I plan to put adjustable pushrods. If the lifters look okay, should I stick with them or get new ones regardless since I am there. If so, which ones would be best?
Not sure how this site works. If I quick reply to an individual, is posted for all to see such that anyone can reply back? Or do I post the question to a the board as well? I do not wish to clutter things.
