Just cleaning the jugs and top covers. The front jug when through an ultrasonic cleaning with wire brush cleaning after. The back jug has not had any cleaning done to it yet. more cleaning is needed after ultrsonic cleaning. Wire
Don't forget to oil the bore back up. Replacing the lifters while you're in there is a good idea actually. Larry's lifters are Johnson hylifts and you'll be happy with them.
Just spoke with Joe and Johnsons does not make lifters for the Evolution, I have torn the engine down to stopping at cracking the crank case. The piston rods have no vertical play in the bearings, so I will leave it at that.
Using an EV27 cam with the lifters from Fueling Parts, can I use my original pushrods(cheaper) or the HP+ One Piece pushrod?

Not sure who Joe is, but he doesn't know what he is talking about concerning Johnson lifters.
Not sure about Fueling lifters these days as there are lots of cheap knockoffs.
Just a clear couple things up, there's Johnson lifters and then there's Hy-lift Johnson which are made by topline and distributed by Larry's motorcycle machine. http://www.larrysmotorcyclemachine.com/lifters.html
Also I'm like 95% sure that all of Fuelings lifters are USA made..
I use the limited travel lifters in my Evo and they work very well..

Limited travel lifters? From Fuelings?
Yeah I could have sworn I bought a set of limited travel lifters from fueling for my Evo.. I did call them and ask and the guy that I spoke to, who's only been there 4 years so he didn't know anything about it and they currently do not sell them for Evo's.. This was probably 8-10 years ago.. My memory is getting worse every year..

Correction.. S&S HL2t in the Evo and Fueling limited travel race in the TC.
