Front end clunk
When that "clunk" happens, is it when the lower fork legs bottom out? Like hitting a pot-hole in the pavement?
Just to add a tip that was handed to me on the clunk-
when you are adjusting the steering head bearings, make sure that the top of the top triple tree, both sides of the washer, and the big nut are degreased and bone dry when torquing them up. Seems if there is any grease in there the pinch force is less effective in preventing movement.
I cleaned mine with brake cleaner, adjusted the fallaway and torqued the top nut to only 50 lbs and she seems to be staying tight. It was pretty greasy in there when I first tightened it, and the clunk would not go away.
