Good info John, Thanks.
Spoke with Matt (Ultima) last night, didn't seem to want to beleave me about this Forum. Said they havn't had problems as I described and no help on the parts of course.
On the other hand, Donna at Jireh is a blessing, she got the parts to me ASAP.
I am also installing a programmable ignition. I may have bumped past the rev limit on the 'supplied' ignition a time or two and with this crap gas we have available now, I'm hoping to program the timing a little better.
Should have it back togather this weekend.
Thanks everyone for your inputs.

Just have a stroked HD engine with the W6H, still not in the big boy market yet.

Maybe if you spend $4000, can't get a return phone call or email from Ultima on a failed Ultima 2000I ignition system, don't know if their the same place but I have moved on.

Goat, on your 113", John Sachs in Florida is a specialist on Ultima's and pulls 138 dynod HP by cleaning it up and uses the same cam, that shortens the tire life.

Bagger, Send me a message with your phone number and a good time to call. I may be able to help, no promises but I can give it a try.

Thanks 1997bagger. I got 128 last time on the dyno. I read on a another forum that John was on and he said the stock cam was the best for this motor.

Sounds like you can wear a tire out without John S but if needed, he is a great guy.

We have sent a request for full set of bearings, gasket kit and oversized pistons and rings. We shall see how well they back their product.

I sure expected more than 1500 miles out of a new motor! Anyone else had this type of problem out of an Ultima engine?
Had about 3,500 miles on my 127 when the rear ehaust lifter failed, clean break in da pin, took out the oil pump, cam and (2) push rods, Matt at Ultima sent me the parts, I paid for labor, had a local shop put it back together, still a little noisey, John, you mentioned once how to adjust the lifters to keep the noice down. Still love the bike and engine.

John must be busy, setting the plunger deeper into the hole will usually quiet them down. 32 threads per inch is 3 turns and 2 flats to put a plunger at .100depth, 3-4 turns is mentioned by Andrews and S&S instructions.

Sometimes it takes 4 1/2 to tame it but I have the same lifters that are in the Ultima's and at 5 turns, still has the sewing machine sound at idle when hot, the Harley "B's" I just removed were quiet at an idle but had other issues, sooo I think being a little noisy is the Ultima Johnsons calling card.

Reset them and see where the depth is for sure and try 4 turns first and see what they sound like hot. Be sure to let them bleed off before turning the motor and make sure the pushtubes are 32 threads per inch.
