Seats and riding position are different for everybody. Soon after I got my bike, I replaced the hard-as-a-rock Corbin with a nice cushy Mustang two-up Regal. I sit lower in it, which helps me. It made all the different in the world to me - but I'm only 5'9". I also lowered the rear of my bike.
You might want to get a set of handlebars with less pullback for taller riders with longer reach, and definitely get a set of floorboard board extensions from Harley Goodies - they will help a lot with foot position by moving the floorboards out about an inch from the bike.
