My dealer sucks... I know, problem is... it's the only one here! that's why I wanna do the wrenching myself, hell, couldn't get any worse....
not trying to hijack the thread to bash dealers, but it doesn't always help when you have more than one. in houston, there are about 6 dealers or more within a 1hr drive from downtown....
anyway, got new wheels/tires put on at one, and they left the bolts that hold the cradle/sallde on for the front axel!!! got home, and saw they were backed out half way!!! couldn't believe, and BEFORE i told a guy my story, a dealer 30 minutes from this one did the same thing!!!!
one forgot to put in a retaining clip on the rear axel after putting on a set of tires couple years ago... these are major things!!! makes me really scared to have them go into my motor!!!
I've owned my evo for 15 or so years, used all different brands of gaskets, never had a problem with it leaking. Everywhere else maybe, but not the primary...

Reason: can't spell
I've had good results with using all factory gaskets on the inner and outer primary and then coating them and the bolt holes with a light coating of yamabond. It seals all the imperfections and minor warps that the old parts have and keeps the oil on the inside.
MMm yamabond that stuff is awsome! Mine doesnt leak, but it did seep. I will see how the new outer primary that is at powdercoating works out since I am going from the old 3hole to the updated 5 hole derby style cover.
