Was wandering whats the best way to test for an unknown battery draw when the ignition is turned off? You know like anything that may draw juice from the battery when nothing is suppose to be on.
Put a 12 volt test light in between the battery circuit. Remove the negative battery cable and touch one lead of the test light to the battery cable and the other lead of the light to the negative post. If the light burns then something is drawing power.

Thanks I'll go try that right now.
Just wanted to make sure all is well before I button things up.
Clamp on an ampmeter to the battery cable, if you get a reading, pull fuses till the reading goes away, then you'll know which circuit the drain is in.

Thanks, I take it I will need this step if my test lite turns on hooking it between ground on battery and grounded cable?
My test lite seems to have grown legs.
The only things that should have a voltage draw when the ignition is off is for the Radio memory, and an alarm if you have one. A switch were the return spring is weak could also cause a voltage draw. Like mentioned pulling one fuse at a time and see if the draw goes away is the way to check it.,,

The radio memory draw kind of sucks because its wired to a breaker under the batwing which makes disconnecting a pain in the *** especially seeing as I just put it back on.
