progressive springs

trying also to install fork springs on an 1990 flhs. got it down to the fork caps. is the caps/ screw on or press on? i remove the caps bolt and the bracket that sat on top the caps. the caps are not bolts but have a edge on each side.you can get a wrench on it. need some help here on removing these caps.

They screw in, make sure the front end is jacked up so the wheel is off the deck or things get launched.
