I had a little mishap knocking over my bike in the driveway. The unfortunate outcome was that the handlebars tucked under the bike and the throttle grip dented the tank. I decided to get the tank repainted. The artist who painted it left the stock Harley decals alone, fixed the dent, and painted flames around the decals. The fenders are still just all Lazer Red Pearl. I haven't mounted the tank yet but I'd appreciate to hear if you guys like the tank, or not. It's a '98 Superglide. Thanks.
That's true Spanners39, and I do like it. I like how his design plays off the decal with the gold outline of the flames mirroring the gold around the Harley-Davidson lettering, and the black airbrushing matching the color of the letters and the black underneath the lettering.
Since I haven't mounted it on the bike yet, I'm wondering if not having the fenders painted with flames as well will look odd? My thinking is that since the color red is commonly associated with fire or flames, it might work? Anyway, thanks.
Just to add, I like how it retains a stock look with the original decals and Lazer Red Pearl paint but you could almost imagine that Harley painted the flames at the factory. Just a thought.
Looks like a good job by the painter but you'll never know how it will look untill you put them on the bike. My wife does this kind of thing to me, "will this dress make me look fat??", and my answere is "if you like it then I love it".

I'm getting ready to head out to put the tank on. I have a couple other things to fix after the bike fell over. The brake lever snapped off and the master cylinder assembly broke where the lever attaches, also the rear directional got damaged. I managed to scrape together all the replacement parts, along with the tank, so I'm all set. Thanks all for the feedback.
