Default Supertrapp SuperMeg 2-1 Sale

Just a heads up for those interested in the Supertrapp SuperMeg 2-1 pipe for '85-'06 Dressers. Direct Harley Parts, HDF sponsor, is running a great sale on them. I've been looking for a decent price on these for a while. Free fingerless gloves too.

miacycles, how many disks do you recommend for a mostly stock bike?

I'm running stock heads, S&S E Carb, high flow air filter and EV27 cam.

I fitted one a year or so ago and had my bike dynoed, to fine tune it. The improved running and increased low/mid range torque were quite a surprise. Bike runs better than ever. I have an S&S 107 in mine and fitted all the discs it came with!

16-20 disks is a good starting point. The dyno will tell what each individual engine combo wants. Hope this helps.

Excellent, thanks. I'll start there and adjust accordingly.

I ran one on my Street Glide with 103" a few years ago. Loved the performance and sound.

Thumbs up Runs quiet, smooth and increased acceleration

Quick update. I completed the installation of the Supertrapp 2-1 yesterday. Installed 20 disks and took the bike for a ride. The RK ran quieter and smoother, with increased acceleration in gears 1-4. I'll remove a disk later this week and take it for a test ride to see if it runs even better. If it runs worse, I'll stick with 20. If it runs better, I'll drop it down to 18 and see what happens. Another plus is the 2-1 system is 10lbs lighter than the OEM system it replaced and installation was easy. Real happy so far.

Glad it worked out. I'd try removing the disks in pairs for "seat of the pants tuning, one disk tuning is for the dyno. Hope this helps.
