Ordering parts to change out my cam in my 97 flstc
Andrews EV27
torrington b138 cam bearing
se adjustable pushrods chrome molt 17900-87
nose cone gasket
.050 , .055 .060 cam shims
Breather shims are often not too flash if its a high milege bike but you'll need to measure your old one before ordering and you'll need new pushrod tower O rings too.
I would suggest ordering 2 identical gaskets. Use one (over and over if necessary)while checking your end play clearance, and save the uncrushed one for final assembly.
I think you're gonna like the 27.
Thanks everyone all good points.
Bike is low mileage picked it up last year with only 32K
I think the 27 is the way to go. Bike has been lightened a bit since I got it. See pics on profile.
I had planned on switching out the breather forgot to list
Will I be able to change out these pushrods without taking the rocker boxes off or will I need to quick installs?
What about using a reed valve vs breather gear?

If you aren't going to take off the rockerboxes you have to cut the old pushrods to remove them and then put in ez-install ones.
Ordered all the parts yesterday
