The adjuster on the cable is up by the handlebars. It may be hidden under a rubber sleeve.

I'm blind as a bat, found the adjuster. Checked the carb cable play and there may have been a bit more the carb could open up so I adjusted the cable so when the throttle was turned and I pushed on the carb round thing the cable rides on it wouldn't go any more and of course that messed up the idle so I cut that back to the point I had to loosen off the cable a bit more. So I got that sorted out and reset the ignition and set it to stage 2 ( maybe I shouldn't have done that at same time as the carb). So I hit the road and and it seems much better, I got it upto 150km or 93 mph and if I didn't have to slow down for the *** end of the truck in front of me it may have done better. So kudos to you John.
Thanks

Glad it all worked out. We see this all the time, especially after someone changes grips etc.
