Jasper...TB? One abbreviation I don't know. I might be.

CAM chest would be located? Simple to get to?

So based on mods already done to the bike sounds like mine would be considered stage 2....but with a very very poor tune. I think as Bagger suggested I will take it to a local Tuner. Wondering who though. I can ask around from some of the guys I know from different clubs. There are plenty of Dyno testers in Austin, just a matter of finding one with the knowledge and someone I can trust. Don't want to give that to someone just punching in numbers.

Obviously I am looking for a best fuel economy to per ratio that I can find. Don't want to gut the power at the cost of fuel economy but don't want to take away the fun reason why I ride either.

TB = throttle body. the piece between the air cleaner and the cylinder heads.

cam chest is the right side of the crank case. you remove the points cover, mark, then remove the timing rotor, remove the cup/bolt, and the cover can be unbolted and removed from the crank case. the cam / pinion / breather gears sit right behind it. your cam will be stamped with some numbers (mine was stamped on the inside, hadda use a mirror to read it).

out of curiosity, does your bike have adjustable pushrods? (mine didnt, apparently harley doesnt (or didn't, at the time) use them, and had reinstalled the original solid pushrods

Good lord that is a bit more work than I am willing to put in just to find out what type of CAM, unless it becomes absolutely necessary.

I will find a local tuner first. Go from there. If it becomes crucial then I will find out.
