If you pull the air cleaner off and twist the throttle is the accelerator pump squirting gas. If not you might want to drop the bowl off and see if there is gas in it. I admit I am grasping at straws, but an EVO powered bike that pretty should run. Where is Spanners when you need him. If you have fuel, spark, and compression in the right order it should be running. AAARRRRRGGG! Sorry for my outburst. Maybe we all need an attitude adjustment.

starting fluid straight into the air cleaner. if she fires, its fuel.


(i'm betting its fuel).

You mentioned the air mixture adjustment. I've found mine is VERY PICKY. I've read others say from bottom, they back out 2 turns as a starting point. Another thing that keeps nagging at me is the timing. Were you in the the cam chest?

Nope, I was not in the cam chest. I opened the air mixture 3 turns. Shuld I turn it back 1?

MY STARTER IS STARTING NOT TO LIKE ME.....

my fuel gauge isn't working. that CAN'T have anything to do with her running, right?

When I pull the enrichener, she kind of backfires through the carb.

No on the fuel gauge.

You shouldn't have to crank it that much. If everything is right, should just take right off. Cranking for 30 seconds won't help. Don't burn up your starter!
