Hi all in Evo land!,
I am going to be adding a batwing fairing to my 97 Roadking, sometime this summer. I think the Batwing will offer more protection, than the factory police style windshield - on long superslab trips. About the only fairing in my price range new is - the Memphis Shades fairing. I know the Hoppe and Dragonfly are nice fairings, but at almost 1K : (
I saw this on Ebay, and was wondering if anyone here has one on their bike? Seems too cheap to be any good (probably some really thin fiberglass)???: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fits-94-to-P...da5523&vxp=mtr
Was at my local Indie today for an oil filter and gthey had a display stand for the Memphis Shade Batwing. It is acryilic something or other but looks real nice. With quick release hardward it came to almost 3 bills.
Not sure what the listing is on the flea you posted but 50 bucks is way too cheap.
Thanks for the quick replies! I have heard from others' on forums - that the MS fairing is a fairly good product for the money. It is in my budget range. I am pretty leary of these supposed (hand laid fiberglass) fairings on Ebay. The prices and descriptions seem to good to be true! I was thinking of getting a good used HD batwing, then fitting the Memphis Shades quick mount hardware to the HD fairing. But with my luck, this wouldn't work : (

I have an old genuine batwing on my Glide, which looks handlaid. Made in 1983 it's still going strong! My bike came with one of those RK-style windshields, which was frankly a pain in the proverbial and the batwing has solved things nicely. That Stealth looks fine and those holes for speakers should make decent cubby holes for more useful stuff!
I just put a batwing on my 95 Road King, got it from Exotic Body Parts for just over 300 bucks delivered. It came with a inner that can have a stereo and speakers put in if and when I want. Had it painted with the rest of the bike so it looks nice, the fit between the two fairings could be a little better but like I said the price was right.
I have a 97 RK and put on a Mephis Shade fairing and love it! Make sure to put on the wing deflectors at the bottom of the fairing as it makes a big difference. I rode over 5100 kms last year to Sturgis and the fairing was spot on and looks good too!

I have a Memphis Shade with the wings for sale. Check your PM if you are interested.
I've looked at this ebay guy's fairings for a few months. His feedback isn't so bad and the few negs he's got has nothing to do with his fairings. It would be kinda cool though to hear from someone who has bought one from him. My wife bought me one off ebay (different seller) for cheap but it was paper thin, outer and inner didn't fit together right and the wind shield is garbage. I'm picking away at repairs here and there and it will be great when I'm done but you know how it goes, you get what you pay for!
