Mine's pretty smooth at 100 with good tires and DynaBeads. I chickened out too, but I don't think it had THAT much left. Motor could handle it, but it didn't have the gears for it. That's ok, I'm happy at 80.

Bock, bock,,,,,bock .......you gotta be WAKKO to ride that fast.....
I haven't tried to ride Hyacinth flat out, at any time in her long life, although I did many times with my 74 Super Glide. That was as fast in third as top gear, at around an indicated 110mph. Mind it did seem to keep gathering speed, as if the speedo had had enough and wasn't going to read any higher!

This thing got some "pass" in it! Don't have to make plans to make a pass anymore, just twist-n-go!
Mrs B and I discovered after the event that our gps had recorded 96mph on a German autobahn (honest Officer!) and were disappointed we got so close! Next time perhaps.
We travelled through much of Europe with a friend on his BMW GS, he solo, we 2-up plus the kitchen sink. While on minor roads, waiting for the opportunity to pass a slower vehicle, he would change down a couple of gears - while I just rolled the throttle in top gear when the time came and had to avoid ramming him as he accelerated!
So these S&S touring engines do indeed have some jolly good GO!
you guys do know that the obama adminstration is monitoring this site...any body that admits to running these types of speed will be denied care if involved in a motorcycle accident. that way, there will be more money for obamacare to spend on undocumented illegals and people too damn lazy to work when they show up at the hospital.

Dang I wish you hadn't mentioned that, because, it's probably true.........
Luckily for me my YAMACRAPPER won't go over 25MPH......................

Yep your right , those commies up there are reading in
I guess I better not post my top speed after that. However my buddy and I were on the interstate in Montana headed to Sturgis back in 96 and he got his 96 Road King up to 103 and said it was tapped out. He had an ev-27, slip on mufflers and K&N filter. Anyway I cruise my 96 King at 69 just so I get good mileage, around 48-50 most all the time, no windshield.
I have also run my 94 FXR at the drag strip, 12:90's at 98MPH. It's pretty much stock except for an EV-3, K&N and cycle shack slip ons.
