Another unsuccessful attempt...
Chevy Impala driving by some dickweed pulls out in front of me doing 45mph. Now it's 11:30 pm, I've got the headlight burning, I'm wearing a saftey yellow jacket with the reflective silver stripes, and he 'doesn't see me???? Couldn't change lanes, another car off my left, had to 'lock er up' and hope for the best. Luckily I was anticipating this moron pulling out, and he didn't disappoint me.
Sorry about the non-tech rant....
I saw that you locked them up, happened to me last year as well. This might sound wierd but in a way, it's good practice. You can read how to do it safely all you want but when the pucker factor is in play it's nice to know you can truely do it without dropping the bike or getting in some other trouble...congrats.

Moral of the story, I never give up control of my bike. One guys first comment after telling this story was "shoulda laid it down". Sure, laid it down, @#@#ed up me and my bike. As it turned out, no one got hurt, and we all went our own way. My heart gets going every time I relive that incident. That was about 6 years ago.
