Hey Bump,
do you know for a fact that the bike was drowned. I speak with lotsa of insurance claims specialists and asked a few of them about hurricane sandy. they all groan but said it was worse than my imagination, lol. i popped a question about HD motorcycles and they said many foreigners bought trailers full of 'em cuz overseas they don't need to salvage title them.
Here's the rub, they said there were a majority of bikes that never saw water but because their home addresses were on particular streets or zip codes that they just sent them checks and said handover title, keys and bikes to the man with the box truck on next tuesday. think of it, federal relief money in the insurance companies' discretion where to send it. a $6000 kbb valued bike versus a $600k home. who cares about the outdated iron?
We do!!
was Sandy ever wet? perhaps slightly moist when you twist the throttle...
