Oil pressure problems persist...getting worse.
Oil light still comes on at idle after riding about 10 minutes or so. Starts as a flicker, and gets steadily worse to the point that I have to rev it over 1500 rpms to make it go out! Motor runs absolutely fine, no audible scary noises the whole time. This would indicate to me there is good flow (per se), just poor pressure?
At this point I'm thinking there are tolerance issues internally (cam bushing, lifter blocks, oil pump itself?) The only other thing I've read is the pressure relief valve can stick open? I tried to get the little bugger out w/ a magnet, wouldn't budge.
I really didn't want to tear into a motor w/ only 14k on it, but that's the direction this seems to be headed. I bought the bike BECAUSE it was low miles, and I figured I could enjoy it for a little while before any major wrenchin'. 200 miles in the seat and here I am.
If anyone has any ideas/suggestions I would LOVE to hear them! I just wanna ride my bike...
