Maybe it's just me but those cables look entirely too tight to me.

Who made the Cables?
Are they Barnett or what?
Do you have the star screw throttle lock?
Check to make sure it is loose.

I did the test and the idle doesn't change. I have no idea who made the cables so they could be Barnett. If they are is there a problem with them? Yup the throttle lock is loose.

I use Barnett. I know they work good.
I use the black ones though so I don't know if the braded ones are any thicker.
The fewer bends in the cables the better.
More bends means a harder pull.
The bends you put into the cable you want to be very gentle.
The sharper the bend the harder you have to pull.
And as Doc said above those cables still don't look long enough.
