Yep, and if their all the same why do they make one for a TC and another for EVo?? What Iv been told is TC need less oil flow and EVO are designed for more flow.

I don't know much about this, but is it still bad if the numbers crossreference like say a k&n for a bike is the same part number for a k&N that belongs on a car?

Why would someone want to go to a car dealer to buy a filter for their motorcycle?

It's a better filter, cheaper than the auto parts store, black, and I'm there anyway buying filters for the Lotus, Camry, RN Truck, Lexus,....

Ok I am going to have to ask where you are getting this information?
Are you a oil filter engineer, does Lexus recommend this filter for Harleys and back them up?
Just because a filter will screw on does not make it better, there are so many more things to consider, like micron filtering, relief valves, anti siphoning.
I am in my John deer dealer a lot, that does not make me tempted to use a green filter on my HD.
Yea sure nine out of ten times you can get away with using a cross referenced filter, it it that tenth time that in my opinion is not worth it.
You come up with data, I will listen.
Otherwise I have got to play the bull **** card. :-)

Suit yourself. The filters will cross over if you go by the specifications. Look it up yourself, I have. Toyota RN Truck v. HD Evo. Even the drain back and pressure release valve specs are the same. Go to the WIX web site and look up the specs. Do you really think that the MoCo manufactures oil filters? Where? They just buy quality private label filters, like JD does, and I think they use the same supplier as "SuperTech" at Wally World. So your HD super special filter is probably just a Wally World filter with a different paint job.

Anyway, in 80+K miles on my bike and 50K+ on Dr.Linda's, it doesn't seem to have hurt them so far. 'Course, we ain't riding twinkies which might overheat or blow a cam shaft tensioner if you look at them funny or something.

Not sure why but HD lists the Twin Cam 5 micron filter for my 99 Softail Custom, but the standard filter for the earlier EVO's. The HD book says mine came with the 5 micron filter. I can't see why they changed the filter for the 99 EVO's.

So now you are saying it's the same filter when previously you stated that the Toyota filter was a better filter.
