A TC gerotor pump moves more oil than a wimpy gear type Evo/Shovel pump. The TC requires more oil due to its design, including the oil jets used to cool the pistons and cylinders.

Not all Shovels used that configuration. Some later models used the same external spin on oil filter as the Evo.
Yeah I had a 1984 FXSB Shovel with spin on filter...twin belt drive too from factory...great bike, used to vibrate all the way up to 80-85 mph and then it was smooth
